A week after the death of a close friend, Julie travels to the mountains to find her recluse brother and break the news.  The two siblings are both artists, Julie's a sound mixer and Steven's a photographer, stuck in their own endless cycles of processing their life through their art in hopes to get a better understanding of their situation and maybe even be above it. Eventually, they'll complete their projects but the grief doesn't disappear. Without any intermediate, they have to start accepting the reality of the situation. The film is about the nonlinearity of grief and the struggle to communicate in conventional ways.
